Re elect Oceanside Councilman

JACK FELLER

A COMMUNITY LEADER

WITH A VISION FOR OCEANSIDE'S FUTURE

Serving as your representative on the Oceanside City Council is both an amazing honor and a privilege. During my 16 years as councilmember, I have witnessed the economy boom, bust, and get back on the road to a strong recovery. The specific focus of my commitments in my reelection in 2012 was to:

A. Protect the residents of Oceanside

B. Improve city finances

C. Fund upgrades to our roads and parks

I have stayed true to these convictions with every vote I have cast over these past four years.

Keeping our city finances in check and our Safety and Public Services strong has been pivotal to Oceanside’s future. Our citizens should feel safe where they live, work, worship and play.

I’m proud to have supported the projects that have brought thriving businesses to once vacant buildings throughout our city. The long awaited hotel projects in our downtown are now becoming a reality; and with those projects will come jobs and an increase in city revenue through our property and transient occupancy tax.  Our transient occupancy tax has increased by 300% since 2000.  Having hotel and convention space available in Oceanside is an attraction to larger businesses which will yield more, higher paying jobs.

Continuing to improve and maintain our roads and parks improves the quality of life for our residents and continues to bring new families to the area. Our future is bright, yet the work continues.

It is the responsibility of your city council to be aggressively seeking revenue generating opportunities to keep our city strong. It’s been said that Oceanside is a diamond in the rough; I believe our diamond has begun to shine and I want to continue on the path of making it as bright as it can be.
